“There’s nothing I like more than building relationships, it’s my favorite part (of what I do).”
After talking with Evan for just a few minutes, you will soon come to realize his first visit with customers is not to get measurements and a build plan, it’s to have a beer and talk about how you want to enjoy your back yard. Daskalos states that the plan and design phase is the most important part, and it’s where they spend most of their time on a project.
“We build everything to industry standards or better, but how we deal with our customers is totally different.”
Evan’s approach is a little different than your typical hardscape company, rather than focusing on deadlines or a punch list, Evan loves building relationships with his clients to truly understand what they want for their outdoor living experience.
It’s safe to say that Evan and Daskalos Outdoor Services doesn’t build walls, walkways and patios, they build experiences.
The face behind the name.
“I just have a passion for creating outdoor living spaces for people, it’s my soul purpose in life.”
Evan Daskalos started landscaping at 15 years old, and was hooked on being outside since the day he started. His senior year of high school, he tried starting his own landscaping business which- in his own words- was a “disaster”, and soon after started working for a large landscaping firm. Working in a large company with vast resources allowed Evan to soak up all there is to know about creating outdoor living spaces, and his love for the field only grew from there.
In the spring of 2019, the company Evan worked for had sold, and he thought it would be a good opportunity to try his hand at entrepreneurship yet again. This time, with a solid background in business administration and landscape design. Thus, in 2019 Daskalos Outdoor Services was born.
